Vote for gryphon Safety

new disability signThe LeamanPotential Foundation is lobbying to ammend the Americans with Disabilities Act to include the Gryphon Shield™ as standard equipment on all new powered wheelchairs, beginning 2010. Thanks for your support.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law in 1990. In July, 2000, marking the 10th anniversary of the ADA, Jesse testified to the US Senate that the act has vastly improved life for people with disabilities.

2000 Senate TestimonyHowever, technology has come a long way in the meantime, and the ADA needs to be adjusted accordingly.

We believe that the Gryphon Shield™ is not a mere novelty or luxury toy to be enjoyed by a privileged few, but rather a provider of independence and a genuine safety measure that improves quality of life, and even saves lives.

Therefore, if a doctor or licensed rehabilitation therapist prescribes this technology, it should be covered under insurance just as any other lifesaving medicine or technology would be.

If you agree, please vote yes.
